Raph. 19. Artist. Feminist. London.

One of the best things about Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights was the complete lack of score or music until the end where the emotional power of Mumford & Sons sledgehammers you. That being said, I compiled a soundtrack that would have fit perfectly if we didn’t already know better. The songs pretty much fell together and if you play them over the start and end points indicated you’ll see why:

Track listing:

01. “Goodbye” by Apparat feat. Soap&Skin [Opening]

02. "The Lion’s Roar" by First Aid Kit [Cathy watches Heathcliff get cleaned - Cathy and Heathcliff climb up to the rock]

03. "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li  [Heathcliff runs from his baptism - Heathcliff and Cathy return to the house]

04. “Flume” by Bon Iver [Heathcliff and Cathy mud wrestle - Heathcliff and Cathy undress]

05. “My Body Is A Cage” by Arcade Fire [Heathcliff is beaten - Cathy licks Heathcliff’s wounds]

06. "Seven Devils" by Florence + the Machine [Heathcliff is beaten and locked up - Cathy brings Heathcliff leftover chicken]

07. "Ný Batterí" by Sigur Ros [Cathy has her corset laced up - Heathcliff hears cathy telling a secret and walks out into the rain]

08. “Videotape” by Radiohead [Heathcliff and Cathy see eachother again for the first time - Cathy pours the tea]

09. “Moon & Moon” by Bat For Lashes [Heathcliff, Cathy and Isabella ride horses - Cathy steps on Heathcliff’s face]

10. “Caught By the Light” by The Boxer Rebellion [Heathcliff visits a sick Cathy - Heathcliff hears bad news from Isabella]

11. "The Enemy" by Mumford & Sons [Original placing in the film]

12. "Jolene" by The White Stripes [Ending credits continued]
